HorrorTecture is an ongoing mixed-media series that examines architecture as a psychological vessel. Rather than depicting overt horror or narrative spectacle, the work isolates structures - culturally recognizable dwellings - and reframes them as emotional containers. The buildings stand alone, absent of figures, suspended in fields of layered abstraction. In this absence, atmosphere becomes the subject.

Each piece begins with disciplined ink drawings rooted in architectural draftsmanship. These hand-rendered structures are then scanned and disrupted through digital layering - textures, luminous color fields, and graphic interventions that introduce instability and tension. The process intentionally collides precision with interference, control with intrusion. The result is a visual dialogue between order and unease.

HorrorTecture aligns with contemporary investigations into space, memory, and liminality. The structures depicted are not merely buildings; they function as repositories of cultural memory and emotional residue. By stripping away narrative action and human presence, the work invites viewers to confront the psychological weight of place itself. The architecture becomes portraiture.

While informed by gothic atmosphere and horror vernacular, the series operates within a fine art context—bridging architectural rendering, mixed-media abstraction, and spatial psychology. The compositions emphasize silhouette, negative space, and restrained color relationships, creating a quiet but persistent tension.

Ultimately, HorrorTecture explores what lingers in constructed space: how walls hold memory, how absence generates presence, and how structure can embody emotion. The work asks viewers not what happened here—but what remains.
